stores them in a local or a network
database. If you are using a network
database (like MySQL or PostgreSQL) to
store the catalog, you can access all
thumbnails, comments and picture/movie
information from any Mac on the network
- even with several Users at the same
time. |

into the workflow.

Intelligent
movie thumbnails
Thumbnails for images are easy - they are
simply a smaller edition of the original
image. But what do you want for movies?
The first seconds of most movies
are simply black. So no use for this.
That's why each movie thumbnail is
composed of 4 mini-thumbnails. The first
taken after 10% of the movie, the second
after 40% and so on. So you really
see what's going on in the movie. |

Store comments and
additional data
Still remembering where this great picture
was taken three years ago? Or do you
still know if you have a model release
for each person on each image and where
to look for it?
No problem with Mediaboard
ONE. Store keywords, descriptions, model
and property release information with
your images in the catalog. With the
Autofill feature it's even easier: Select
all images taken at one day/place, type
the keywords and description once and
the Autofill feature will add them to
all selected images. |

EXIF
and IPTC support
Mediaboard ONE automatically scans your
images for metadata and adds them to
the database if they are available. EXIF
support includes technical data about how the picture was taken (aperture, zoom
and flash settings, camera make and model) and the photographer or image editing
application. Additionally Adobe XMP, IPTC Core for XMP, Dublin Core and Creative
Commons metadata are processed. |

and DVD's

stored on a backup CD or DVD? Then you
know why you really need this feature.
Select Catalog CD/DVD from the Workflow
panel and drag your CD/DVD on the workflow
panel. Mediaboard ONE catalogs all files
and remembers on which disc to look for
them. After you remove the disc you can

If you are working with images and movie
files on a daily basis, you will repeat
the same tasks over and over again. Mediaboard
ONE allows you to save time by running
pre-defined workflow's or defining your
own workflow's (Pro Edition only).
If
you want to download new images from
your camera, catalog them, upload the
original files to a network server, generate
smaller images and burn them on CD to
show them your customers - The Mediaboard
ONE Pro Edition allows you to make all
this happen with one click! And yes,
it works with Automator (available only

SQL
Backend
Mediaboard ONE stores thumbnail and media
data in a SQL database. You can either
specify your existing MySQL or PostgreSQL
database server as backend (support for
additional database vendors will follow)
or use the integrated Apache Derby /
IBM Cloudscape database.
This gives you the possibility to access
all your image data, keywords, etc.
with your regular SQL tools - like our
award-winning SQL4X
Manager J or any other database tool-
to create your own reports, live web
publishing and much more. |

More things to come
We are constantly enhancing MediaboardONE
to bring you the best user experience
possible. Please tell
us what you think about it
and what features you are still
missing. But please keep in mind,
this is no iPhoto replacement.
The focus of this application
is to help users with many image
and movie files (like professional
photographers, media agencies
or power users) to manage their
media assets.
Last but not least: Yes, there will be
a Windows version later this year. |
